Test Engineer – Financial Services (6‑month contract)

About the role

Our financial services client in Luxembourg is seeking a Test Engineer for a 6‑month contract with strong potential for extension. The role is full‑time onsite and focuses on ensuring the quality and stability of the eFront platform.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, user stories and specifications together with Business Analysts and solution owners to define test scope.
• Design, prepare, maintain and execute manual test cases covering functional, integration, performance and regression testing.
• Execute test cycles, analyse results, log and track defects in JIRA, and verify fixes with the implementation team.
• Prepare and maintain test data, documentation and reports to support release and go/no‑go decisions.
• Support system integration testing and hyper‑care phases, contributing to overall solution quality.
• Collaborate closely with internal colleagues and the service provider to ensure effective communication and timely delivery of testing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant testing experience in cross‑functional teams.
• Proven experience in test design and execution, preferably in the finance or fund industry.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Manual testing (functional, integration, performance, regression).
• Test design and test execution.
• Experience with test management/tracking tools, especially JIRA.
• Working knowledge of the eFront platform.
