Systems Software Engineer – Web Development (React/SharePoint Online)

About the role

The European Investment Bank Group is seeking a Systems Software Engineer specialized in web development to strengthen its digital workplace team in Luxembourg. You will create and maintain custom front‑end components using React for SharePoint Online, collaborating with internal technical teams and external service providers in an agile, sprint‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain React‑based front‑end components for SharePoint Online, including SPFx solutions where required.
• Translate UX/UI designs into high‑quality, performant, and maintainable code.
• Ensure components comply with coding standards, architectural guidelines, security policies, and accessibility rules.
• Integrate front‑end solutions with Microsoft 365 services and existing intranet functionalities.
• Support testing, validation, bug fixing, and optimisation across development, test, and acceptance environments.
• Produce technical documentation, handover materials, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with EIBG technical teams and service providers using an iterative, sprint‑based delivery approach.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or at least 8 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 7 years of front‑end development experience for web‑based applications or portals.
• Proven track record delivering React projects and building custom components for SharePoint Online.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
