System Engineer – Infrastructure

About the role

Deloitte Luxembourg’s Internal IT department is looking for a System Engineer to join its Infrastructure team. You will support multiple service lines, work on large‑scale projects and help create a secure, high‑performance environment for Deloitte employees.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and support daily infrastructure (incidents, changes, troubleshooting, performance tuning) across Nutanix, Windows and Red Hat Linux environments.
• Install, configure, harden and maintain operating systems, hypervisors (Nutanix AHV, VMware ESXi), middleware (e.g., Nginx) and related management tools.
• Ensure system security, availability, backup and disaster recovery while monitoring KPIs and complying with SLAs and security policies.
• Provide third‑level support, root‑cause analysis and problem management for complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, procedures and reports for standardisation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Engineer.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a pragmatic approach.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multicultural team.
• Customer‑oriented attitude, good communication skills and sense of ownership.
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server administration (GPOs, DNS/DHCP, certificate management).
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, troubleshooting and hardening.
• Automation and scripting with Ansible/AWX (or Automation Platform) and PowerShell.
• Experience with Nutanix AHV and VMware ESXi hypervisors.
• Knowledge of middleware such as Nginx.
• Backup, disaster recovery and KPI monitoring.
