System Architect – Microsoft Exchange (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking a System Architect to join an EU Institution in Luxembourg. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining on‑premise Microsoft Exchange environments and related infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Microsoft Exchange on‑premise architecture across versions 2012, 2013 and 2019.
• Provide expert‑level support and guidance for Exchange and Terminal Server environments.
• Lead Exchange upgrade, migration and modernization projects.
• Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell scripting.
• Monitor systems, apply patches and enforce security standards.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents to maintain performance and availability.
• Support file migration from Windows Server to OpenText solutions.
• Participate in on‑call, early‑shift and late‑shift operational support.

Required profile

• Microsoft‑oriented infrastructure engineer with deep knowledge of Exchange on‑premise environments.
• Experience as a subject‑matter expert for Exchange Server 2012/2013/2019 and Terminal Server.
• Proven ability to plan and execute Exchange upgrades and migrations.
• Hands‑on experience with PowerShell automation.
• Willingness to work shift‑based and on‑call support schedules.
