SPV Accountant – Private Equity/Real Estate (Fixed‑term)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SPV Accountant to join a leading financial services provider in Luxembourg on a 4‑6 month fixed‑term basis. The role focuses on accounting for Private Equity, Real Estate and Private Debt special purpose vehicles, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain records of all financial transactions for SPVs.
• Prepare interim, monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
• Produce and communicate financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform GAAP reconciliations across US GAAP, UK GAAP, Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS.
• Calculate tax provisions and review tax returns.
• Liaise with tax advisors, auditors, joint‑venture partners, asset and property managers.
• Coordinate with international departments and respond to accounting queries.
• Prepare distribution memorandums and ensure administrative compliance and filing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (or equivalent).
• Approximately 3 years of experience in accounting for Private Equity, Real Estate or Private Debt SPVs within a service provider or financial institution in Luxembourg.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, accurately and with good organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BOB 50 accounting software.
