Specialist Corporate Finance

About the role

Cargolux is seeking a Specialist in Corporate Finance to join its headquarters in Sandweiler. You will work in a fast‑moving environment, providing financial analysis, transaction support and reporting across a range of activities including carbon management, financing, risk management, M&A and business planning.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast CO₂ emissions, identify decarbonisation levers and assess related costs.
• Monitor carbon market developments and ensure compliance with mandatory schemes.
• Contribute to the Financial Risk Management policy for carbon and interest‑rate risk.
• Prepare materials for the Risk Management Committee, measuring risk exposures and mitigants.
• Identify funding needs, evaluate financing options (asset‑backed, corporate debt, revolving credit) and support transaction documentation.
• Manage post‑closing financing structures and track sustainable finance market trends.
• Support M&A activities: conduct deal screening, financial modelling (DCF, comparables) and coordinate due diligence.
• Assist in financial and business planning by forecasting KPIs, analysing income‑statement and balance‑sheet impacts and performing sensitivity analyses.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a corporate finance department of a large corporation or consulting firm.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, ACI or ICMA are a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Programming knowledge (Macros, VBA, SQL) is a plus.
• Strong expertise in financial risk management, financial analysis and financial modelling.
• Familiarity with a wide range of financial products, including derivatives and structured products.
