Software Engineer – Real‑time Banking Applications

About the role

Deutsche Börse Group is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Custody section of the Asset Servicing, Connectivity & Data department. You will work on critical C++ and Java applications that support real‑time banking processes in post‑trade processing for Clearstream/DBAG.

Key responsibilities

• Design technical solutions with focus on security, performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Implement new features and enhancements in C++ and Java.
• Improve and extend the automatic functional and security testing suite.
• Support end‑to‑end testing activities, assisting business testers and execution teams.
• Analyse production issues, provide support to internal customers and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Identify improvement areas and propose process enhancements.

Required profile

• University degree in IT or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of DevOps‑oriented programming experience in object‑oriented languages (C++ and Java).
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, Linux scripting and version control (GitHub).
• Familiarity with messaging systems (JMS, AMQ) and XML processing.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies is a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities, teamwork orientation and excellent written and spoken English.
