Senior System Defect Resolution Engineer

About the role

Join a leading global player in sustainable automotive technologies as a Senior System Defect Resolution Engineer. You will be responsible for analysing returned parts, identifying root causes, and driving system‑level defect resolution for power electronic systems on a 9‑month contract based in Luxembourg.

Key responsibilities

• Perform return‑part analysis and determine root causes of defects in power electronic systems.
• Define and lead system‑level defect resolution strategies.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including hardware, software, and testing groups.
• Plan, execute, and analyse advanced test campaigns at bench, HiL, and vehicle levels.
• Participate in technical reviews and customer discussions.
• Act as the technical interface with clients for defect‑resolution topics.
• Track, manage, and report defects using JIRA and KPI monitoring tools.
• Support occasional business travel (up to 25%).

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automotive, Mechatronics engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive system development, preferably in power electronics.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software and vehicle system interactions.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical topics to resolution.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
