Flight Simulator Technician

About the role

You will play a key role in ensuring the availability and quality of Cargolux’s fleet of certified flight simulators and crew training devices. The position is full‑time, permanent and based in Luxembourg, operating in a 24/7 environment with rotating shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and modify electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical components of flight simulators.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with FSTD regulations and TDM specifications.
• Apply QTGs, Service Bulletins and Field Service Bulletins, and carry out visual database updates and alignments.
• Update cyclic databases and firmware (navDB, Terrain) and calibrate systems to TDM specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage AOG or disrupted training situations.
• Troubleshoot system defects both independently and as part of a team.
• Support engineers, TDM support staff and the Flight Sim Department manager in various tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Flight Simulator Technician or in a comparable airline technical role.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and professional work ethic.
• Good knowledge of EASA regulations related to simulators.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, fluent in spoken and written English.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and work in a 24/7 shift environment.
