Senior Strategy Associate – Financial Services

About the role

As a Senior Strategy Associate in the Strategy& Luxembourg team, you will support leading financial institutions and corporates on strategic and operational challenges. You will work alongside experienced consultants on projects ranging from operating model redesign to regulatory transformation and growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Work on strategic and operational projects for financial institutions, covering regulatory, process, transformation, and organizational topics.
• Conduct research, analysis, and structured problem‑solving to produce clear insights and recommendations.
• Support the design and assessment of operating models, governance structures, and performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Analyse trends in financial services, regulation, technology and innovation to identify client opportunities.
• Translate complex concepts into simple, actionable messages for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary PwC teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in client workshops, presentations, and business‑development activities.
• Contribute to engagements exploring how data, analytics, automation and AI can generate measurable value.
• Help build internal knowledge on financial services and AI‑related topics.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data/Tech or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 2–4+ years of experience in financial services or consulting (regulatory, risk, operations, transformation, strategy, performance improvement, etc.).
• Strong analytical, structured problem‑solving and communication capabilities.
• Understanding of financial institutions and motivation to solve complex business challenges.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and their impact on strategy and operations.
• Fluent in English; French or German is an asset.
