Senior SPV Accountant – Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SPV Accountant to join our Luxembourg team supporting a portfolio of special purpose vehicles for a leading private‑equity infrastructure investor. The role reports to the Head of SPV Administration and works closely with the accounting manager and other accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, including day‑to‑day bookkeeping for acquisitions, disposals, financing activities, accruals and operating expenses across multiple SPVs.
• Prepare quarterly reporting packages and annual financial statements in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP, coordinating audit completion.
• Execute weekly cash reconciliations and collaborate with the accounts payable team for invoice payments.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Funds, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Deal), auditors and depositary banks to ensure smooth execution of investment and divestment transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax returns and produce monthly/quarterly BCL reports.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives and support ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Accounting qualification or a finance‑related university degree.
• 5‑7 years of experience as an SPV Accountant or in a comparable role within investment funds, private equity, real estate or financial services.
• Strong understanding of SPV structures, Luxembourg GAAP and related reporting requirements.
• High attention to detail, deadline‑driven mindset and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.
• Proactive, autonomous and fluent in English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with eFront or equivalent investment‑management systems such as Investran or Allvue.
• Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
