Senior Security Engineer

About the role

IntellectEU is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join a financial‑technology project in Luxembourg. The role will contribute to enterprise‑wide security initiatives, strengthen the organization’s security posture, and support the development of resilient, scalable, and compliant technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures, standards, and controls across applications, infrastructure, cloud, endpoints, and development environments.
• Manage vulnerability remediation, patching, security monitoring, detection, and continuous improvement of security operations.
• Oversee cryptography, PKI, certificates, secrets, HSMs, digital signatures, and post‑quantum cryptographic readiness.
• Translate security risks and regulatory requirements into practical controls, support audits and SOC 2 compliance, and maintain security policies.
• Coordinate incident response, conduct technical investigations, root‑cause analysis, and maintain response playbooks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security or related field.
• At least five years of hands‑on security engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent English communication.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC or equivalent.
