Senior Frontend Software Engineer – Digital Factory

About the role

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer in EY’s Digital Factory, you will design and deliver modern, enterprise‑grade web interfaces for the firm’s digital platforms. Working in Luxembourg, you will collaborate with product, UX, backend and architecture teams to build secure, scalable, and maintainable front‑end solutions that meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Create component‑driven UI that follows UX designs, design systems and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
• Implement client‑side routing, state management and modular architecture for clear, scalable code.
• Consume and help shape backend APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Apply performance best practices such as lazy loading, efficient rendering and asset optimisation.
• Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests and ensure high test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to shared frontend standards and document architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Several years of professional experience building complex web applications.
• Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility (WCAG) and performance optimisation.
• Ability to work in an API‑first, contract‑driven environment and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
