Senior Firmware Developer (m/f)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Firmware Developer to join an innovative air‑technology company’s R&D team in Luxembourg. You will design and implement low‑level software for microcontrollers, supporting real‑time processes and advanced signal‑processing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Translate system‑level requirements into detailed firmware specifications.
• Analyze, adapt and integrate existing internal or open‑source software to meet project needs.
• Develop bare‑metal firmware and service layers, as well as application‑level real‑time modules such as control state machines, signal‑processing blocks, timing or waveform generators.
• Design and implement application‑level test benches.
• Debug low‑level code in close collaboration with electronic engineers and PCB designers.
• Maintain code quality, readability and version control using appropriate tools.
• Prepare and keep clear technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in firmware and embedded software development, preferably in high‑efficiency, scalable environments.
• Strong leadership and project‑management abilities, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional proficiency in English.
