Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

Satispay is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to ensure the integrity of its financial records and drive excellence across its accounting operations. You will own the general ledger, support audit processes, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of General Ledger and sub‑ledger accounting, ensuring accurate postings, documentation, and reconciliation.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through detailed reconciliations and traceability.
• Manage fixed‑asset and Capex accounting, including capitalization policies and amortization schedules.
• Oversee payroll accounting entries in coordination with external providers.
• Act as the primary contact for statutory auditors, providing high‑quality supporting documentation.
• Prepare accounting data for VAT and other tax filings, ensuring consistency with records.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, control, and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in fintech, finance, or corporate services.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting principles (Italian and/or Luxembourg GAAP); IFRS exposure is a plus.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and teamwork.

Required skills

• Experience with structured ERP environments.
• Advanced Excel/spreadsheet proficiency.
• Familiarity with automation, data tools, or scripting‑based workflows.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (strong plus).
