Senior Android Developer – Contract/Freelance (On‑site with Flexibility)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join Pictet Technologies’ mobile team on a contract/freelance basis. The role is based on‑site in Luxembourg with flexible working options and will involve delivering high‑quality features within an Agile Scrum environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship native Android applications as part of Scrum teams.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into user‑friendly features.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and promote best practices.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, unit and UI test suites.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Android apps in an Agile setting.
• Strong communication skills in English; French is a plus.
• Team‑player mindset with an agile attitude and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Jetpack Compose and legacy XML UI development.
• Coroutines, Flow, LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation Component.
• MVVM or comparable Android architectures.
• CI/CD tools and unit/UI testing.
• Dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger) – a plus.
• RESTful API integration and data storage solutions.
