Senior Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead the finance function of a regulated European entity based in Luxembourg. The role ensures the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of financial operations while supporting growth and meeting regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance function, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, accounts payable, revenue accounting, and financial controls.
• Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and accounting requirements.
• Manage treasury operations, cash management, and reconciliations, including cross‑border activities.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support regulatory reporting.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and international teams on group‑wide initiatives.
• Support finance system enhancements, automation, and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in regulated financial services such as banking, payments or fintech.
• Hands‑on bookkeeping and operational accounting experience across the full accounting cycle.
• Experience with cross‑border treasury management is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP; IFRS and US GAAP knowledge advantageous.
• Fluent in Japanese and English.
