Senior Accountant

About the role

Arendt & Medernach is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Luxembourg. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, you will manage the accounting for multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor fixed assets across all entities.
• Prepare monthly closing entries, including accrued and prepaid expenses.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and perform intercompany reconciliations.
• Produce monthly financial summaries (balance sheet, profit & loss, detailed accounts).
• Prepare and file monthly and annual VAT returns.
• Coordinate data transmission with the fiduciary for tax returns and FAIA reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of audit documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Minimum five years of proven accounting experience in a fiduciary firm or corporate accounting department.
• Strong knowledge of taxation and VAT regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills, discretion and integrity.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Fluent in French and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP Elite accounting software.
