Senior Accountant

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Investor Services and Banking (Luxembourg) S.A. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance Department. The role involves ensuring accurate accounting operations across the bank, its Irish branch, and the management company while supporting statutory audits and continuous process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting tasks, including control of P&L, Forex positions, and account management in the banking system.
• Validate general expenses and payments processed through Novabank.
• Participate in monthly and annual closing activities for all entities.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and ensure timely tax payments.
• Perform reconciliations of assigned accounts, including BCEE Nostro and BCL reserve.
• Review payroll accounting, suspense accounts, commission receivables/payables, and general expense provisions.
• Support the Head of Finance during statutory audits and on operational projects.
• Provide guidance on accounting standards, maintain internal controls, and back‑up team members as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg tax regulations and banking operations.
• Ability to work under pressure with high professional consciousness.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Lux GAAP.
• Familiarity with IFRS (asset).
