Risk Assurance Internal Control Trainee

About the role

As a Risk Assurance Internal Control Trainee you will join PwC Luxembourg’s Risk Assurance team, working with professionals in internal audit, risk management, AML, data analytics and IT. You will support clients from financial services, private and public sectors in strengthening their internal control frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Support internal control review assignments across a wide range of business processes and industries.
• Assist in risk assessments by analysing processes, identifying risks and evaluating existing controls.
• Document findings and prepare clear, structured reports for clients.
• Work with senior team members to assess operational risk management frameworks and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with international teams on client engagements, gaining exposure to different approaches and sectors.
• Utilise data and technology to support control testing and analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in general management, business, controlling or a related field.
• Proficiency in English and French.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with ability to analyse data and produce structured deliverables.
• Strong analytical mindset, logical thinking and curiosity to identify risks.
• Team‑player attitude, clear communication and high ethical standards.
