Real Estate Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Real Estate Accountant to join our finance team in Luxembourg. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting for a portfolio of real‑estate structures and vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full general ledger accounting for portfolio companies, including day‑to‑day operations, cut‑off entries and accruals.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations, balance‑sheet clearing and manage intercompany financial flows.
• Handle accounting for complex real‑estate transactions such as acquisitions, disposals and refinancings.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closings and prepare statutory financial statements under Lux GAAP.
• Support the transition and consolidation of financial data to IFRS standards.
• Produce management reports, budget variance analyses and investor reporting.
• Prepare and submit Luxembourg VAT returns and coordinate corporate income tax filings with external advisors.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors during statutory audits.
• Ensure accurate data entry in the Yardi ERP system and liaise with property managers, banks and service agents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Controlling or Finance (e.g., DSCG, Master).
• 3‑5 years of experience in real‑estate accounting within a corporate, fiduciary or fund‑administration environment in Luxembourg.
• Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Fluent English; French, German or another European language is a plus.
