Accounting Supervisor

About the role

The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) is an independent exchange that has shaped international capital markets for over 60 years and leads sustainable finance through its Luxembourg Green Exchange platform. As an Accounting Supervisor you will lead the accounting team, ensure high‑quality financial reporting and compliance with Luxembourg accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the accounting team, overseeing daily transactions such as accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
• Review month‑ and year‑end accounting entries, supporting documentation and ensure accurate closing and external audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, LuxGAAP, IFRS and relevant fiscal legislation.
• Prepare and review internal reports, VAT returns, direct tax filings and other regulatory reports (Statec, CSSF).
• Produce quarterly IFRS reporting and support tax return preparation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in finance with at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong analytical, detail‑oriented and leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Power BI (asset).
• In‑depth knowledge of LuxGAAP and IFRS.
• Understanding of fiscal law and Luxembourg regulatory framework.
• Proficiency with Sage L100 accounting software.
• Proficiency with Multiline payments software.
