Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (Python/Playwright)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join a customer‑facing project in Luxembourg. The role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining automated test solutions for web and mobile applications within the banking payments domain.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python.
• Perform system integration, functional and non‑functional testing.
• Execute REST API testing and validation.
• Develop automation solutions with Playwright (preferred) or Selenium.
• Support mobile application test automation activities.
• Participate in UAT execution and coordination.
• Collaborate with development, QA and business teams to ensure quality delivery.
• Manage test repositories and CI/CD integration workflows.
• Identify defects, track issues and support resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation standards.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a customer‑facing environment.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on quality.

Required skills

• Python programming (structured and object‑oriented).
• Playwright (preferred) or Selenium.
• Python requests library and REST API testing.
• VS Code for Python development and debugging.
• Azure DevOps and Robot Framework.
• SQL (preferably MSSQL) and NoSQL (preferably CosmosDB).
• Git workflows and repository management.
