Property Accountant

About the role

Our client, a leading international real‑estate services firm, is expanding its finance team. The Property Accountant will manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of commercial real‑estate assets, ensuring accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle for multiple real‑estate properties.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages.
• Perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor and record rental income, service charges and operating expenses.
• Prepare and review tenant accounts, rent rolls and related reconciliations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Liaise with property managers, asset managers, clients and external service providers.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimise accounting workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in property or real‑estate accounting.
• Strong understanding of real‑estate accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and independent work style.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
• Knowledge of Yardi (strong advantage).
