About the role
We are seeking a proactive Legal Assistant to support our compliance and corporate practice. The role involves a mix of administrative, research, and regulatory tasks, ensuring smooth operation of the practice group and adherence to AML/KYC standards.
Key responsibilities
- Organise practice group meetings, draft minutes and track timesheets.
- Open, close and monitor client files, ensuring timely follow‑up and closure eligibility.
- Proofread, format and finalise legal documents, correspondence and basic partner communications.
- Conduct basic legal research and assist in preparing client trainings, seminars and webinars.
- File and search documents with the Luxembourg Business Register and Register of Beneficial Owners.
- Coordinate apostille requests, prepare court and bailiff documentation, and liaise with administrative bodies.
- Apply AML/CFT regulations, support initial AML/KYC due diligence, collect and maintain related documentation, and participate in AML Committee meetings.
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support, manage appointments, travel arrangements and act as backup for reception/helpdesk duties.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a law firm is highly valued.
- Knowledge of Luxembourg legal authorities, court systems and AML regulations.
- Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Excellent command of French and English; German and Luxembourgish are assets.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with legal time‑recording systems.
