KYC Trainee – Customer Due Diligence (5‑month)

About the role

The European Investment Fund (EIF) is looking for a motivated trainee to join its KYC, Tax & ESG Division for a five‑month assignment starting in September 2026. You will support the First Line of Defence in executing customer due diligence (CDD) and preparing for a major data migration to the new OMEGA onboarding system.

Key responsibilities

• Enter KYC‑related data into internal systems (eFront, OMEGA) with high accuracy and upload client documentation.
• Assist in cleaning up legacy KYC data and ensure consistency with current standards.
• Support the review of private‑equity and guarantee/securitisation client files, flagging missing or outdated information.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.

Required profile

• University degree (or ongoing studies) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional EU language is a plus.
• Basic understanding of KYC/AML principles and a strong sense of confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with document‑management and integrity‑screening tools (e.g., World Check, FACTIVA) is advantageous.
