JavaScript QA Lead (Remote)

About the role

This contract position is a remote, hourly role focused on leading quality assurance for JavaScript AI training projects. You will ensure that AI‑generated JavaScript code and trainer outputs meet strict quality standards, helping improve the data that powers leading AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated JavaScript code and trainer/QA work against detailed rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback on code correctness, reasoning, runtime behavior, debugging, readability, maintainability, performance, security, test coverage, formatting, and instruction‑following.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Activate and re‑engage contributors who are not consistently delivering work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong command of English for clear technical communication.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in JavaScript development, frontend or backend (Node.js), full‑stack engineering, code review, or software QA.
• Ability to evaluate JavaScript content against detailed rubrics and spot logical, security, performance, or execution issues.

Required skills

• JavaScript (ES6+), closures, scope, hoisting, prototypes, promises, async/await, event loop, modules.
• DOM manipulation, error handling, data structures, modern ECMAScript features.
• Node.js, frontend and backend development.
• Code review, software quality assurance, technical mentoring.
