Java QA Lead - Remote

About the role

This is a remote, hourly contract position where you will act as the Java Quality Assurance Lead for AI training projects. You will ensure that generated Java code and trainer outputs meet strict quality standards and project guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Java AI training projects.
• Review AI‑generated Java code and QA work, providing precise written feedback.
• Evaluate output for compile‑time validity, runtime behavior, OOP design, API usage, debugging accuracy, readability, maintainability, performance, security, test coverage, formatting, and adherence to rubrics.
• Manage quality workflows for remote technical teams using collaboration tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Strong English communication skills for guideline interpretation and feedback.
• 3+ years of professional Java development, backend engineering, enterprise software, or software QA.
• Deep understanding of Java fundamentals (OOP, collections, generics, streams, lambdas, concurrency, JVM behavior, memory management, modules, modern features).
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or engineers is strongly preferred.
