Human Resources Officer – HR Generalist

About the role

As a Human Resources Officer you will join a multitasking HR team supporting both local management and staff across several European locations. You will work within a central HR platform, ensuring consistent processes and acting as a key point of contact for operational companies in Portugal, Spain, Poland and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare employment contracts, contract addenda, work certificates and other HR‑related documents.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to employees on leave management, compensation, absence management and other routine HR matters.
• Prepare the monthly payroll process and assist with payroll administration.
• Support the HR team in daily administrative operations and maintain employee files and records.
• Offer legal guidance on HR issues in line with Luxembourg and international labour law.
• Assist management and employees with employee‑relations, performance and workplace behaviour matters.
• Contribute to the review and update of HR concepts, procedures and policies.
• Coordinate employee onboarding activities and follow up on training reimbursements.
• Participate in HR projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in an HR generalist role.
• Good knowledge of the Luxembourg social security system and labour law.
• Familiarity with payroll administration and tax matters for cross‑border commuters.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Proactive, flexible, reliable and well‑organized, able to work autonomously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
