Global Indirect Tax Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Global Indirect Tax Lead to design, implement and manage the indirect tax function across multiple jurisdictions from our Luxembourg hub. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, supporting a multinational industrial group.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end indirect tax matters (VAT, GST, sales & use tax) in all operating regions.
• Ensure accurate, timely filings and reporting while validating data consistency across systems and financial statements.
• Design and roll out a centralized indirect tax operating model, harmonising processes and providing regional oversight.
• Lead the transition to a scalable structure, guaranteeing audit readiness and traceability.
• Contribute to ERP transformation, configuring tax determination logic and supporting automation, e‑invoicing and real‑time reporting.
• Act as the primary tax advisor to finance and business stakeholders, explaining tax impacts and coordinating with teams in EMEA, the US and APAC.
• Manage tax audits, authority interactions and controversy matters, and monitor regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Approximately 12 years of indirect tax experience, preferably with Big 4 or law‑firm training and international corporate exposure.
• Strong technical knowledge of VAT, GST and US indirect tax frameworks.
• Background in complex, international industrial environments such as oil & gas, energy or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to operate strategically while remaining hands‑on.
• Fluent English; French and/or German are a strong advantage.
