About the role

The Fund Legal Department supports the corporate governance, company secretarial duties and internal control for NBL's Cayman Islands subsidiaries. We are looking for a permanent Fund Legal Officer to assist with board and shareholder meetings, legal documentation, regulatory reporting and fund‑related projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Organise board and shareholders’ meetings for the two Cayman subsidiaries (GFTC/MTC) and ensure proper documentation, signing and registration.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external lawyers to draft, review and deliver legal documents.
  • Draft and maintain corporate governance policies and procedures for GFTC/MTC, ensuring alignment with NBL policies.
  • Prepare regulatory reports for Cayman authorities.
  • Conduct risk assessments of third‑party service providers, including external law firms.
  • Process invoices from third parties and maintain original documents and databases.
  • Support fund set‑up, restructuring and termination projects.

Required profile

  • Law degree, preferably from a European/Luxembourg or common‑law jurisdiction; bar admission is a plus.
  • First experience in a corporate or legal environment, preferably within banking or fund management.
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations applicable to global financial institutions.
  • General knowledge of company secretarial functions and internal control.
  • Strong interest in offshore jurisdictions, especially Cayman Islands fund structures.
  • Very good command of English, with advanced writing skills.
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with a proven ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Sound judgment, proactive attitude, stress resilience and a hands‑on approach.
  • Good communication skills in English; French is a plus.
