Fund Legal Officer (Permanent)

About the role

The Fund Legal Department supports the Cayman Islands subsidiaries of NBL, handling company secretarial duties, internal control, corporate governance and fund lifecycle activities. We are seeking a permanent Fund Legal Officer to ensure smooth legal operations and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise board and shareholders’ meetings for the two Cayman subsidiaries (GFTC/MTC) and manage all related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external lawyers to draft, review and execute legal documents.
• Draft and maintain corporate governance policies and procedures for GFTC/MTC, ensuring alignment with NBL policies.
• Prepare regulatory reports for Cayman authorities and monitor applicable legislation.
• Conduct risk assessments of third‑party service providers, including external law firms.
• Process invoices from third parties and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with fund projects such as set‑up, restructuring and termination of investment funds.
• Safekeep original documents and maintain the legal document database.

Required profile

• Law degree, preferably from a European/Luxembourg or common‑law jurisdiction; bar admission is a plus.
• Initial experience in a corporate or legal environment, ideally within banking or fund management.
• Familiarity with laws and regulations governing global financial institutions.
• Understanding of company secretarial functions and internal control processes.
• Strong interest in offshore jurisdictions, especially Cayman Islands fund structures.
• Excellent English, with advanced writing skills; French is a plus.
