Fund Accountant - Real Estate

About the role

The Fund Accountant will service a portfolio of real estate and private equity funds and related structures, acting as the primary accounting liaison for clients and external advisors. You will work within a small client team, reporting daily to the client manager, and will be expected to build strong relationships and deliver high‑quality, client‑focused services.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for all accounting and reporting matters for alternative investment funds and SPVs.
• Prepare and review periodic financial statements, cash‑flow statements, and accompanying notes.
• Produce statutory accounts under Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS.
• Calculate management, equalisation, and performance fees in line with LPA/PPM documentation.
• Coordinate year‑end audits, prepare audit files and resolve issues.
• Attend board and shareholder meetings and review meeting packs.
• Prepare Luxembourg statutory reporting, VAT, and tax returns.
• Handle regulatory filings (BCL, CSSF) and ensure proper KYC documentation for bank payments.
• Train and coach junior team members.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or currently studying towards one.
• Direct client‑service experience in a professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS.
