Full Stack Software Engineer – AI‑Powered EdTech Platform

About the role

Join SnT’s Wingos project, an AI‑driven educational technology platform designed for Luxembourg’s multilingual classrooms. You will work at the intersection of applied research and a production‑grade product, turning research ideas into reliable, user‑friendly software for teachers and students.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship features across the full stack – from UI components to APIs and databases.
• Translate research concepts and product requirements into clean, well‑tested, production‑grade code.
• Build intuitive, accessible interfaces for educators and learners.
• Integrate large‑language‑model services where they add real value.
• Own performance, reliability, and security as the platform scales.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and related DevOps tooling.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from scoping to release and iteration.
• Collaborate on technical documentation, grant proposals, and publications.
• Work directly with pilot schools and partners to gather feedback and improve the product.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Next.js).
• Solid server‑side experience with Node.js and/or Python (FastAPI).
• Good knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools (Git, Docker, CI/CD).
• Experience taking features from idea to production and maintaining them.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional French, German or Luxembourgish is a plus.
