Executive Director – Financial Solutions Group (Global Markets)

About the role

CIBC is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Financial Solutions Group within Global Markets. The role focuses on distributing structured notes and related products across Continental Europe, primarily in France and the Benelux region.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and execute structured product deals across equity and fixed‑income markets.
• Prospect, develop, and maintain client relationships through outbound calls, meetings, and customized solution proposals.
• Collaborate with marketers, traders, and internal support functions (treasury, tax, legal, onboarding) to deliver timely transactions.
• Provide clients with up‑to‑date product and rate information, ensuring exemplary service.
• Design and roll out marketing plans, cross‑sell complementary products, and monitor market activity to generate trade ideas.
• Continuously expand product knowledge through self‑directed study and attend trading‑room learning sessions.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or a STEM discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in structured products, capital markets or related financial services.
• Proven track record of client acquisition and relationship management in European markets.
