Electromechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to provide design and analysis services across our client’s business units. The role involves close collaboration with mechanical engineers and other disciplines to develop electrical and motion‑control solutions for internal products and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, dimension, implement, test and maintain electrical, electromechanical and motion‑control systems, including PLC code.
• Interact with partners and customers to integrate HITEC electrical and automation solutions.
• Define, document, implement and verify new features and technologies in existing or new products.
• Present and defend design concepts and features to stakeholders.
• Lead functional testing activities and maintain test plans.
• Develop and promote best practices for product design and verification.
• Conduct technology surveys and disseminate new concepts within the department.

Required profile

• Engineer or Master’s degree in electrical or automation engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with electromechanical devices such as electric motors and power electronics.
• Proficiency in English for technical discussions and documentation; additional languages (German, French, Luxembourgish) are a plus.
• Ability to adapt to new situations and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Control theory knowledge.
• PLC programming (Structured Text).
• Programming languages: Java, C++, Python.
• Experience with motion‑control systems.
• Familiarity with power electronics and electric motors.
