Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the development and design of complex machinery for assigned projects, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery. You will oversee new product creation, maintain existing products, and guarantee that all engineering documentation meets quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts for mechanical systems and generate detailed designs.
• Ensure completeness and technical correctness of engineering documents, including traceability and knowledge management.
• Specify, select and dimension machine components, and prepare fabrication drawings.
• Participate in analytical and numerical structural analyses, including FEA.
• Review designs and drawings produced by team members, providing guidance and expertise.
• Support continuous improvement of design and verification processes.
• Interact with internal and external customers and suppliers to promote and troubleshoot technical solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work in an English‑speaking environment; German, French or Luxembourgish a plus.
• Experience in project management and strong sense of responsibility.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of GD&T, surface treatments, bolted and welded connections.
• Proficiency in selecting and dimensioning standard and COTS parts, bearings, and other machine components.
• Familiarity with structural engineering, finite‑element analysis (FEA) and material properties selection.
• Knowledge of relevant standards such as FKM, VDI 2230 and Eurocodes.
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Project.
