Doctoral researcher in European Union Law

About the role

The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the University of Luxembourg seeks a doctoral researcher to develop a PhD thesis on European Union law, focusing on the external dimension of the green and digital transitions. The position is part of the Doctoral Training Unit on Green and Digital Transitions in the Single Market (DTU‑GREITMA) and is supervised by Professor Eleftheria Neframi.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct original research and produce a doctoral dissertation in English or French.
• Engage with the DTU‑GREITMA research community and contribute to interdisciplinary discussions.
• Participate in teaching activities such as seminars or tutorials for law students.
• Collaborate with external supervisors or partner institutions when relevant.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in European Law.
• Fluency in English or French, with a good understanding of the other language; additional languages (e.g., German) are an advantage.
• Motivation to work in a multilingual, international academic environment.
