Junior Tax Advisor / Lawyer

About the role

Arendt & Medernach is seeking a Junior Tax Advisor or Lawyer to strengthen its tax team in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will support domestic and international clients on a wide range of tax matters, providing tailored advice and helping to design tax‑efficient structures for corporate and finance transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide bespoke tax advice and develop innovative solutions for client projects.
• Draft and review tax‑related documents, agreements and opinions.
• Conduct legal and tax research to support client engagements.
• Participate in client meetings, conference calls and project discussions.
• Follow up on client requests and prepare documentation under the supervision of a partner.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required profile

• University degree in law or economics (e.g., first/second State examination in Germany, Master 2 from Belgium, Luxembourg or France), preferably complemented by a postgraduate degree in tax law.
• Fluent written and spoken French and English; German is an asset.
• Internship experience in tax practice at an international law firm is desirable.
• Solution‑driven, reliable, highly organized and a committed team player.
• Interest in all tax aspects, creativity, and the ability to work independently.
