Chief of Section (Business Development)

About the role

The Chief of Section leads the Business Development Section, driving electronic transaction initiatives, logistics planning and project execution within a NATO context. This senior position requires strategic oversight of international cooperation, contract administration and resource optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate large international meetings, promoting cooperation and chairing sessions.
• Oversee project planning, logistics, and supply‑chain management for material and electronic transactions.
• Manage contract administration and ensure compliance with NATO standards.
• Develop and implement solutions to operational challenges, tracking performance metrics.
• Foster inclusive, high‑performing teams through inclusive leadership practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years post‑qualification, or 10 years relevant experience).
• Extensive experience in electronic transactions, logistics, and project management, preferably in a military environment.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of French is desirable.
• Proven analytical ability and structured approach to complex tasks.
• Strong digital literacy and familiarity with office automation tools.
