Audit Manager – Commercial & Public Sector

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Manager for our Commercial & Public Sector practice. The role involves leading audit engagements for complex financial reporting environments, managing client relationships and developing junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audits of financial statements and internal controls over financial reporting for commercial and public sector clients.
• Lead, coordinate and develop a team of Assistants and Seniors throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with client personnel and monitor client satisfaction.
• Apply deep knowledge of accounting and auditing concepts to client situations.
• Coordinate on‑site fieldwork, liaising with other departments to ensure smooth delivery.
• Translate audit strategy into effective procedures and deliver assurance efficiently.
• Utilise primary accounting frameworks and EY’s Global Audit Methodology to comply with auditing standards.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Audit, Accounting or Controlling, or a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
• Minimum 6 years of audit experience; Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS consolidation, PCAOB standards and SOX 404 internal controls.
• Experience auditing statutory financial statements under Lux GAAP.
• Fluent in English; German and/or French are strong advantages.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.
