Associate Compliance Specialist – NL & BE Stores (Restricted Products)

About the role

Amazon’s Legal department is seeking an Associate Compliance Specialist to support the NL and BE online stores. You will research product regulations, develop compliance actions, and ensure that restricted products meet EU, Dutch, and Belgian legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess product availability and determine prohibitions for legal or safety reasons.
• Engage with regulators, respond to inquiries, and manage compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with business and operational teams to design and implement compliance controls.
• Monitor regulatory developments across the EU, focusing on the Netherlands and Belgium.
• Resolve complex compliance issues and escalations involving multiple stakeholders.
• Handle escalated selling‑partner appeals and internal requests to improve control processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in Dutch.
• Previous experience in compliance, contracts management, paralegal work, or a law‑related role within NL/BE.
• Strong organizational abilities, self‑motivation, and effective communication.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast‑moving team.
