Accountant (Soparfi) – Luxembourg

About the role

Fundamentals S.A. is seeking an Accountant Soparfi on a permanent contract to manage a portfolio of companies. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end accounting processes, ensuring compliance with Luxembourg GAAP and supporting clients across various financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, cashbook entries, expenses and payroll.
• Post month‑end and year‑end transactions and prepare annual accounts according to Luxembourg GAAP.
• Prepare tax returns, periodic and annual VAT returns, and regulatory BCL reports.
• Analyse legal documentation such as sales, purchase and loan agreements.
• Handle inquiries from auditors, clients and tax authorities.
• Report on client needs, support accounting projects and improve process efficiency.
• Guide junior accountants and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Stay updated on accounting, regulatory, tax and legal changes and advise management.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting, Audit or Finance.
• 2‑3 years of professional experience in a fiduciary environment.
• Familiarity with Luxembourg GAAP.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and proactive attitude.
• Organised, methodical approach with effective task prioritisation.
