Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join Broad Street Luxembourg, a human‑sized firm within the Goldman Sachs group. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing interim and annual accounts, and supporting tax and reporting activities in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Keeping records of financial transactions
• Preparing interim and annual accounts
• Preparing monthly and quarterly reporting and communicating reports to relevant parties
• GAAP reconciliation across US GAAP, UK GAAP, Luxembourg GAAP, and IFRS
• Calculating tax provisions and reviewing tax returns
• Liaising with external parties such as tax advisors, auditors, joint‑venture partners, asset managers, and property managers
• Communicating and coordinating with internal and international departments of Goldman Sachs
• Responding to administrative/accounting issues and answering queries
• Preparing distribution memorandums
• Administrative compliance, follow‑up and filing

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
• 1–2 years of Luxembourg experience in accounting or financial control, preferably with exposure to private equity, real estate, or debt investments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Team‑player with a hands‑on mentality
• Ability to work independently, accurately, with good organizational skills
• Good understanding of accounting techniques and procedures
• Pro‑active, service‑minded, detail‑oriented and flexible
• Good command of spreadsheets and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
