Senior Scientist/Engineer – Product Development (Tyvek R&D)

About the role

DuPont’s Tyvek® R&D team is seeking a senior scientist/engineer to lead product development for polymer‑based nonwoven membranes. You will translate laboratory insights into commercial‑scale solutions that meet market demands in healthcare, protective equipment, and industrial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define, lead, and execute R&D programs that enhance the technical value proposition of Tyvek® nonwovens.
• Collaborate with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, and Application Technology Leaders to shape market participation strategies.
• Build and apply process‑structure‑property relationships from lab to commercial scale.
• Deliver new product solutions within tight timelines, handling detailed development tasks.

Required profile

• Subject‑matter expertise in polymer‑based product production at commercial scale.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic approach with ability to manage detailed technical work.
• Strong background in materials, polymer science & engineering, chemistry, physics, and related engineering disciplines.
• Experience working in a diverse, global R&D environment.
