Fund Controller – Private Equity (Luxembourg)

About the role

Our client, a leading private‑equity firm with a strong international footprint, is expanding its Luxembourg finance team. The Fund Controller will be responsible for the accurate accounting, reporting and compliance of the group’s European investment structures.

Key responsibilities

• Review periodic accounting reports prepared by external service providers, ensuring accuracy and consistency across entities.
• Coordinate the annual audit process, prepare supporting documentation and follow up on auditor requests.
• Prepare, approve and file statutory annual accounts within required deadlines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date capitalisation tables and company registers.
• Process and track recurring transactions such as distributions, loan and interest repayments, funding contributions and interim dividends.
• Handle day‑to‑day financial tasks including invoice payments, cash management and portfolio company reporting support.
• Assist the Tax Director with Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and VAT computations and returns.
• Support cash‑flow monitoring, periodic reporting to management and continuous improvement of financial control processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external administrators, auditors and advisers to ensure transparent and compliant financial reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of finance experience in Luxembourg, preferably in a Big 4 audit environment or in‑house private‑equity/holding structures.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP and private‑equity investment structures.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French is an asset.
• Valid Luxembourg work permit.
