Corporate Banking Officer

About the role

Join China Merchants Bank's Luxembourg branch as a Corporate Banking Officer, supporting the Head of Corporate Banking in expanding market opportunities and managing an existing portfolio of corporate clients across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales and revenue targets set by management.
• Participate in contract negotiations and prepare credit proposals.
• Conduct KYC/KYT checks, customer due diligence, and compliance reviews.
• Support new customer acquisition, maintain relationships, and draft credit applications.
• Maintain accurate client and credit files and prepare required reports.
• Assist in gathering IT system requirements, preparing documentation, and completing user acceptance testing.
• Contribute to policy development, internal AML/KYC training, and daily administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, accounting or related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in commercial banking or financial institutions, preferably in corporate banking within the European market.
• Fluent English; additional French, German or Chinese is an asset.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and commercial skills.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM or ACCA are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
