Telecom Project Manager – Satellite 5G & NTN

About the role

OQ Technology is seeking a Telecom Project Manager to lead advanced telecommunications projects that integrate satellite 5G constellations, Non‑Terrestrial Networks (NTN), and IoT connectivity. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams from proposal through delivery, ensuring technical excellence and commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage satellite communications and telecom projects from proposal to delivery, aligning scope, budget, and timelines.
• Coordinate engineering teams working on 3GPP‑based 4G/5G/6G, NTN, IoT NTN, Direct‑to‑Device, beamforming, roaming, and positioning (PNT) technologies.
• Support R&D initiatives on telecom stacks and end‑to‑end satellite‑enabled 4G/5G communications.
• Serve as primary interface with customers, suppliers, and partners such as ESA and the European Commission.
• Prepare and manage technical and commercial proposals, including work breakdown structures, schedules, budgets, and risk analysis.
• Monitor project performance, control costs, and ensure compliance with quality and ECSS standards.
• Lead contractual discussions and mitigate technical and programmatic risks.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc in Telecommunications, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in telecommunications, satellite communications, or wireless systems.
• Experience managing or coordinating R&D or institutional projects (e.g., ESA, Horizon Europe).
• Strong understanding of project management practices, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
