Technical Purchaser

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Purchaser to manage the procurement of standard and special technical components for our engineering projects. The role involves close collaboration with the design department to define specifications and ensure the right parts are sourced.

Key responsibilities

• Technical purchasing of standard and special technical parts.
• Clarify technical issues, develop requirement profiles and create specifications in direct cooperation with the design department.
• Obtain quotations, conduct benchmarks and prepare decision‑making models.
• Organise and lead supplier meetings.
• Plan and implement engineering change projects.
• Support component standardisation and management of identical parts.
• Handle complaints related to supplied components.
• Assist the purchasing department in developing strategic purchasing and purchasing controlling.

Required profile

• Completed technical studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
• Fast technical comprehension and in‑depth knowledge of mechanics, dynamics, electrics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Good CAD skills, with SolidWorks considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in German or French and very good English.
• Entrepreneurial, hands‑on and results‑driven attitude.
• Team spirit, flexibility, assertiveness and eagerness to learn.
