Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are a pre‑seed startup in Elora building a generative‑AI platform for call and chat agents. As a Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer you will shape the backend architecture and drive the development of scalable AI‑powered services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the platform’s backend, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Develop serverless services using Azure Function Apps or Google Cloud Functions and manage REST APIs.
• Enhance voice management components, including VAD, audio chunking, speech‑to‑text and text‑to‑speech.
• Integrate telephony solutions with Twilio for seamless customer interactions.
• Manage and optimise data stores such as Cosmos DB and Firestore for live data and user profiles.
• Integrate AI models via Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI and related tools to enable advanced search and response capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading backend development projects with microservices and REST APIs.
• At least 3 years of cloud development experience on Azure; familiarity with GCP is a plus.
• Strong background in voice engineering or telephony platforms such as Twilio.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
